2010 Edition:
There are twelve divisions included in the prestigious Enderle Pull-Off that will be on tap at the Champaign County Fairgrounds in Urbana, Ohio on Saturday, September 18th. An Enderle Pull-Off “rain date” is scheduled for Sunday, September 19th.
The twelve (12) divisions competing in the “Enderle Pull-Off” include the following eight (8) NTPA Grand National divisions: Two Wheel Drive Trucks, Four Wheel Drive Trucks, Modifieds, Unlimiteds, Light Super Stock Tractors, Super Stock Diesel Tractors, Super Stock Open Tractors, and Minis; as well as four (4) NTPA Regional National divisions: Two Wheel Drive Trucks, Four Wheel Drive Trucks, Modifieds, and Super Stock Tractors.
History:
In 1987, Kent and Joan Enderle unveiled the first ever "Enderle Pull-Off" at the Ohio State Fair in Columbus, Ohio. It was to reward competitors for their support of Enderle Fuel Injection. Kent Enderle patterned the event after one of the NHRA's major programs.
The first Enderle Pull-Off was a rousing success. It saw thousands of fans witnessing fifty of the top NTPA competitors lay it on the line for an Enderle purse of $17,800.00. This year's purse is a record $67,092.00, eclipsing last year's funding of $64,405.00. Once the 24th running of the Enderle is in the books, over $1,149,600.00 will have been paid out by Enderle Fuel Injection of Simi Valley, California, makers of premium fuel injection technologies found in all types of motorsports.
ENDERLE PULL-OFF - Information & Qualifying Criteria:
The following is information concerning how competitors qualify for the 24th annual “Enderle Pull-Off“:
The Enderle Pull-Off will be held Saturday, September 18th at the Champaign County Fairgrounds in Urbana, Ohio.
There are eight (8) classes at the NTPA Grand National level that are part of the Enderle Pull-Off as well as four (4) classes at the NTPA Regional National level. The NTPA Grand National classes include TWD Trucks, FWD Trucks, Minis, Light Super Stock Tractors, Super Stock Diesels, Super Stock Open, Modifieds, and Unlimiteds while the Regional National classes include the TWD Trucks, FWD Trucks, Super Stocks, and Modifieds.
The Enderle Pull-Off Points are tabulated on the NTPA Grand National Circuit and in each NTPA Regional National circuit (RN 2, RN 3, RN 4, RN 5, & RN 6). Region 4 has carry-over points coming into the 2010 NTPA Season.
The vehicles in the top five (5) point standings in each designated division of the NTPA Grand National Pulling Circuit and the point leader in Regions 2, 3, 4, 5, & 6 in each designated division of the NTPA Regional National Pulling Circuit will compete in the Enderle Pull-Off.
A region must have two classes scheduled in each division to qualify for the Enderle. If a region’s division does not meet this requirement, the competitor with the most Enderle points in that division from any other region or combination thereof will be selected.
In the case in which a competitor qualifies in two different regions, the next competitor with the most combined points from the same two regions will be a qualifier "at large".
Competitors earn points on either the GN or RN point circuits according to their license/registration. Competitors do not earn points in both categories.
All NTPA National point events will count towards the Enderle Pull-Off's point system except for a blackout period beginning five days prior to and five days proceeding calendar year's date for the Enderle Pull-Off. (i.e. Enderle Pull-Off is September 18h - points do not accumulate between September 13th and 23rd of the preceding year). This gives competitors a chance to concentrate on making the Enderle Pull-Off without worrying about breakage or traveling to the event from another locale.
